Unscrew the top and attach assorted unmounted wheels and buffs like bristle wheels and felt buffs. Reinforced screw mandrels have a thicker top portion to resist bending the shaft, which can ruin the mandrel. They cost a little more, but the bend a lot less than their skinny cousins! Buy by the dozen so that you don’t have to keep changing the attached polishing wheels or buffs.
