Sparex is an easy to use, longer lasting, safe replacement for dangerous sulfuric acid in effective cleaning and pickling metals. Use Sparex No. 2 for removing surface oxidation, scale and pickling gold, silver and copper based alloys. Non-flammable and non-explosive.
Sparex is more aggressive than biodegradable citric pickle, but reacts to steel tweezers, etc., causing it to plate copper onto metals like silver, brass, etc. Use copper pickle tongs.
