When the job requires a larger flame with more heat, this torch performs. The Max Flame Torch is ergonomically designed with all the required safety features.
"This torch is the perfect size for for soldering beads, settings and pendants - any job that is too big for smaller butane torches. Smaller torches can heat most jobs up to around 1" in diameter, depending on the volume of metal begin heated. But this larger torch can heat more material, a larger surface area and overcome heat sinks like the steel mesh of a soldering tripod. My travel kit for soldering always includes a smaller butane torch for jump rings, wire work, etc. and a large torch for bigger jobs and faster soldering. Having the smaller torch, too, is handy for when the flame of the big torch is too much or too hot for the job. Although, the handy, easily accessible gas control on the handle makes adjusting the flame on this big guy a breeze. This is one of the best models of large butane torches that I have used." - Joe Silvera, Metalsmithing Instructor
