This class is for intermediate students in metalsmithing - making a hinged bracelet that closes with a box clasp from scratch! Together we’ll make a bracelet that closes with an integrated box clasp, and fabricated links that are hinged together, so your bracelet articulates to form around your wrist. Piercing, soldering designs in sheet metal to make your links, tips on how to create a hinge, and the mechanics of making a box clasp will all be demonstrated during this retreat. Tools available to share. Kit fee covers materials to make the project.
