PERLZ IS FIVE YEARS OLD!
It's hard to believe but 5 years have passed since we opened in the spring of 2005. What a lot has changed since then. Seems like life has been turned upside down in good and bad ways. But through it all, there is a path to peace and happiness - your favorite pastime, that is!
If you're receiving this newsletter, then one of those pastimes probably includes knitting, jewelry, beadwork, crochet, glasswork or metalsmithing. Our hobbies are like an escape hatch, a portal to a place where you can still see the fruits of your labor, something wonderful you made with your own two hands that you can keep or give, love or learn from.
Anat and I opened Perlz five long and short years ago with the hope that we could help other like-minded creative people with their passion for knitting, glasswork, metalsmtihing or beadwork, and along the way create some more bead and yarn addicts! When we see our customers enjoying their time here at the store, listening to the music, browsing the aisles of supplies and getting excited about new things to do, it reminds us of our mission and makes us happy. Sunday, 1-4pm: Jeff Rogers will answer questions and demonstrate glass bead making. Watch Jeff as he twirls molten glass into beautiful beads. Not only can he do it, he can show you how to do it, too!
